The Testarossa was introduced by Ferrari in 1984 as the successor to the Berlinetta Boxster. The original Pininfarina-designed car was produced until 1991, with two model revisions made up through 1996. Testa Rossa literally means “redhead” in Italian, and it refers to the red-painted cam covers of the 12-cylinder engine.
