It is the great American sportscar, the Corvette Sting Ray! It was introduced in 1963 by Chevrolet, and the second-generation Corvette has been a favorite among collectors and onlookers ever since.

Right off the bat, this Corvette stands apart from others because it has the L78 396 V-8 big block. This engine was new to the Corvette line in 1965. The L78 has a high-rise aluminum intake manifold with a single Holley four-barrel carburetor. The L78 has torque of 415 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm and produces a whopping 425 horsepower. The big block was designed to withstand the immense power it created.

The Sting Ray is driven by a 4-speed manual transmission, has disc brakes, and stylish and rumbling side pipes. It comes with just over 14,000 miles on it!

This car comes from a Corvette aficionado and collector. The owner has maintained it meticulously and has kept detailed records through the years. It has receipts of parts purchased, manuals, and the National Corvette Restorers Society shipping data report. The NCRS certificate lists the GM official production date as May 5, 1965 and it was delivered to the The Russell Chevrolet in Fairfield, Connecticut.

In 1965 Chevrolet introduced a new color, Nassau Blue. This Corvette is one of 6,022 cars to be painted in that color and when it is matched with the blue interior, the neighbors will be green with envy when you take it out on a Sunday drive.

All aspects of the Sting Ray are in fantastic condition. Sitting in the cockpit is like a flashback to the 60s as the interior looks and feels like new. The seats, dash, door panels, and carpet are all in excellent shape with hardly any signs of wear.
