Jaws dropped when BMW teased the Z8 roadster at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. The designed embraced the legacy of the 50’s-era 507 roadsters. The German manufacturer took that inspiration and added modern headlights and a contemporary rear end.

The car is powered by a 5-liter V-8 engine that produces 394 horsepower. It is driven by a 6-speed manual transmission that can go from from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds. The Z8 has 4-wheel disc brakes, ABS independent front suspension, and MacPherson Struts independent rear suspension. The body incudes Xenon headlights and 5-spoke 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels.
