VIN: WBAEE310201052101

The E-24 is one of the most beloved BMW designs. It is the first generation of the 6-Series, and if it has European specs, it is even more of a collector’s car!

Black Horse Garage is honored to represent this European model of the 1985 BMW M635 CSi!

This particular M635 is a three-owner car and has been with its current owner for the last decade. It has been preserved and cared for meticulously. The BMW has less than 27,000 original miles on it and it comes with its order sheet, federalization records, and service records.

The M635 CSi seen here was originally purchased by Mr. John Ogilby, Jr. in April of 1985 from Park Lane Export in London in the United Kingdom. The original bill of sale is included with the car. Mr. Ogilby was a general counsel for Pan American World Airways and helped keep the airline afloat when they were struggling to survive. He brought the M635 CSi over to Florida later that year and it was Federalized in July of 1985. All of the import and feralization records are included with the car. After Mr. Ogilby’s death, the car was sold in September of 2007 and made its way to Connecticut. The current owner then purchased the car in January of 2013 and has owned it ever since.

It has a wonderful and really unique color combination of Carmine Red over Lama leather. The paint is original and it is believed that this color combo is the only one of its kind currently in North America. Since it is a European model, it has the European market bumpers and also front fog lights, headlight wipers, M badging, trunk lid spoiler, and power sun roof.

The Euro 6-Series is powered by the M88 3.5-liter straight-six engine which produces 282 horsepower. This is an increase of 26 horsepower from the de-tuned North American version of the engine. It is driven by a wide ratio Getrag 280 5-speed manual transmission and can hit a top speed over 150 mph.

Inside the cabin, the interior and leather is all in excellent condition and comes with air conditioning, power windows, adjustable sports seats, and Coco mats.

Some of the work that has been done on the car is putting a new European exhaust system on the car, updated valves, and a new headliner. The headliner was sourced from the original fabric in Germany.

A new Alpine stereo has been installed in the car, but it comes with its original Becker stereo. The wheels have also been upgraded on the BMW, but it also comes with the original TRX wheels and tires.
