1971 Triumph TR6
1971 Triumph TR6
There is something satisfying and delightful about driving a classic British sportscar. They are proper and stylish, without being flamboyant. The Triumph TR6 is no exception to this.
Black Horse Garage is proud to represent this 1971 Triumph TR6!
This TR6 is special in that it is a one-owner car! It was purchased from a Robert Buick in 1971 in Danbury, Connecticut and has lived in the Nutmeg State ever since. The car is so beloved by its one owner, that the “old girl” is named Bessie. The owner is a Triumph enthusiast who has not only owned numerous ones, but raced them on the track as well. The car was well maintained and cared for
This TR6 has just over 94,000 miles on it and had a body restoration in 2009. The original color of the car was Saffron Yellow and the owner had it painted black in 1974. It was repainted black again in 2009.
The interior is done all in black and was completely replaced during the cosmetic restoration in 2009. The seats, carpets, door panels, convertible top, and boot are all in fantastic condition and still feel like new. The car also comes with the factory optional black hardtop.
The TR6 is powered by a 2.5-liter straight 6 engine that produces 104 horsepower. It is driven by a 4-speed manual transmission and handles superbly as it powers through every curve. The engine was completely rebuilt in 2020 and about 1,000 miles have been put on it since then.
